Enter the City Escapes Nature Photography “Get the Word Out!” Event!

To help spread the word about City Escapes Nature Photography, we have decided to hold a little contest – and the lucky winner gets one of our unframed limited edition prints!  Here’s how it works: we want 100 people to “like” us on Facebook and/or 75 people to subscribe to our newsletter by Friday, June 17^th.  If we reach that goal, everyone who has “liked” us or subscribed to our newsletter^* will get their name put into a random drawing for their choice of either “Mississippi Silhouette -- Live Oak” or “Neighbors -- Lilac-breasted Roller and Elephant” -  the two images featured in this month’s newsletter. It’s that easy!  Here’s a bonus: if you both “like” us on Facebook and subscribe to our newsletter, your name gets entered in the drawing twice!  Everyone who has already “liked” us or who is currently subscribed is automatically entered – but don’t forget to double your chance of winning by doing both!

The winner will be drawn at random from all qualifying entries on Saturday, June 18^th, and will be notified via e-mail or Facebook no later than July 1^st.  But remember, no one wins if we don’t meet our goal, so tell all your friends about us, too!

The Nitty Gritty (i.e., the rules):

-      At least 100 people must “like” City Escapes Nature Photography, LLC on Facebook and/or 75 people must subscribe to the City Escapes Nature Photography monthly newsletter no later than 11:59 p.m. PST on June 17^th, 2011, in order for the drawing to occur.

-      Prize will be an unframed, signed, limited edition print of winner’s choice of either an 8”x 9” “Neighbors – Lilac-breasted Roller & Elephant” or an 8”x 12” “Mississippi Silhouette – Live Oak.” 

-      All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on June 17^th, 2011.  Any entries received after that will not be eligible to win.

-      Each entrant may enter twice: once by “liking” City Escapes Nature Photography, LLC on Facebook, and once by subscribing to the City Escapes Nature Photography monthly newsletter. Any additional entries (e.g. subscribing to the newsletter through multiple email addresses) will not be considered.

-      Drawing will be held June 18^th, 2011, and the winner will be notified via e-mail or Facebook no later than July 1^st, 2011.

-      Winner must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States of America.

-      Winner must provide a valid U.S. shipping address in order to claim prize. Prize will not be shipped internationally.

-      Prize can only be shipped to winner, not to a third party.

-      City Escapes Nature Photography, LLC will pay shipping costs to deliver prize to winner (ground shipping only).

-      Winner grants City Escapes Nature Photography, LLC the right to use their name, prize selection, and city and state of residence for promotional purposes.

Announcing the City Escapes Nature Photography Spring / Summer 2010 Release

We are pleased to announce our Spring / Summer 2010 release is now available at

Our newest release takes us to the Oregon coast, where we get to see a bit of personality from harbor seals; to Glacier National Park, which is perpetually stunning; and to the Gulf Coast, where the egrets reign supreme.  (The Gulf Coast images were taken only one week prior to oil from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill beginning to wash up onto the Louisiana shoreline in significant amounts.)  There is also a “lucky” elephant and a rainbowed waterfall that are not to be missed.

Now Accepting All Major Credit Cards

 

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to accept all major credit cards for payments.  We have recently updated our web store to reflect our changing of credit card processing companies from a traditional third party provider to Google Checkout. As part of this move, we have been able to expand our list of accepted cards to include American Express and Discover, as well as the previously accepted MasterCard and Visa. Additionally, customers can use debit cards to pay for their purchases if they prefer not to use a credit card.

 

We are pleased to be able to provide our customers this additional flexibility in their payment options.

 

Redesigned Website now live

 

In our ongoing effort to improve our web presence, we are pleased to announce the release of a significantly redesigned website, www.CityEscapesPhotography.com, which we expect to be more user-friendly.  Of course, the on-line art gallery is still the dominant feature. However, we have developed a layout that will allow us to provide significant new content over time without having to significantly redesign the site.  This new format also allows us to bring together our complete web presence into a series of easily navigable pages.

 

In particular, we have updated and expanded the FAQ, which makes it easier to find answers to questions about our products. We have also created specialized forums for collectors, friends, and those interested in keeping up with company news in which we have incorporated targeted RSS feeds for our press releases and newsletters, provided lessons learned from our travel experiences and included a complete list of our photos in a single catalog. We expect to add a forum on design considerations in the near future. Finally, we have included direct links to our Facebook fan page and our Brownbook listing (where we solicit feedback) for those who would like to keep up with our activities between releases.

Come Join Us at Our First-Ever Show!

On Saturday, November 28, City Escapes will be participating in the Galveston (Texas) ArtWalk. This is our first gallery-style show, completely open to the public, and a fantastic opportunity for you to see our work first-hand. If you are in the Houston/Galveston area, we would love to see you there!


The ArtWalk is, of course, on the island, and runs from 6 PM – 9 PM. City Escapes will be showing inside the Coastal Community Federal Credit Union, at 2302 Church St. (at the intersection of 23^rd and Church St.).

We will have a wide selection of both framed and unframed prints available, including some canvases, as well as our greeting cards. This is your opportunity for immediate gratification!
